Our client will be running an 8-week summer internship programme, starting in late June 2023.

They are currently recruiting for the following three positions:


  • Investment Management Intern
  • Legal and Compliance Intern
  • Marketing and Client Services Intern


This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic recent graduate/current student who is looking to gain experience within their chosen field.

Alongside working in their specific department, the programme will also give interns the opportunity to hearfrom other areas of the business and to gain a broad understanding of the various roles available in the asset management industry.

They are an independent, global government bond manager, founded in 1999.

They manage in excess of US$30bn for international clients across a variety of investment products:
Global Bond, Global Inflation-Linked Bond, Local Currency Emerging Market

Debt and Global Unconstrained Alpha. They have a singular investment process which is applied in the same way to all the different products managed. They value bond markets according to their real yields (i.e. the rate of return they offer after inflation)and currencies according to their real exchange valuations. Both bond and currency valuations are adjusted for the balance sheet strength of the underlying country and ESG factors.

They are majority-owned by its employees, allowing constancy of purpose and an alignment of interests between employees and clients. They are headquartered in London and have regional offices in New York, Singapore, Dubai and Sydney.


Marketing and Client Services Intern:


The Marketing and Client Services team are responsible for collaborating in marketing and client service activities for institutions and intermediaries globally.

The intern will support the team with their day-to-day responsibilities, including:


  • Production of Client Presentation Books;
  • Assisting with RFP requests;
  • Involvement with UCITS fund range;
  • CRM system maintenance.

Legal and Compliance Intern:
The Compliance team has sight of every part of the business through its oversight role.

The proposed responsibilities of an intern would be similarly diverse, giving them a view of the entire firm whilst allowing them to learn about policies, procedures and rules underpinning a regulated asset management firm


Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting analytic compliance monitoring work;
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual updates to Compliance Policies;
  • Involvement in an antimoney laundering project;
  • Involvement in the external audit process;
  • Supporting the Legal team as required.

Investment Management Intern:
The Investment Management team are responsible for overseeing client portfolios and contributing to the investment process.

The Intern will have the opportunity to learn more about their investment philosophy and process and will gain exposure to portfolioconstruction, optimisation, and implementation.

The Intern will support the team with their day-to-day responsibilities, including:


  • Supporting with process or country requests;
  • Macroeconomic analysis, data management;
  • Conducting investment research;
  • Performing ongoing country monitoring and producing country reports.
