    Senior Estimator

    Role Context:

    nWorley is looking for a Senior Estimator to support project estimates across the region.nLocated near to one of Worley's UK Offices in London, Manchester, Stockton or Aberdeen is preferred.


    nOverall responsibility for estimate production as assigned including:

    nYou'll be:

    nCoordinate and monitor input from engineering, procurement and construction to ensure estimate input requirements are met in a timely mannernEstablish the key parameters associated with the overall quality and accuracy of the estimate such as: equipment and material pricing guidelines, material take-off and other allowances, escalation philosophy, and site location (labour productivity) factors.nEstablish the estimating scope of work, prepare estimate methodology and produce an overall estimate activity schedule identifying all deliverables and interfaces with other disciplinesnPrepare the Estimate Plan to include establishment of the estimating methodology and cost estimating principles applicable to the estimate preparation.nProvide support in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost estimating problems.nCompare and analyze scope, quantities and cost data between projects.

    In comparison with previous estimates, outcome costs and vendor prices, carry out benchmark estimates through high level norms and industry standardsnIdentify risk items and measures to mitigate risksnPrepare cost trend estimates in support of project cost trend programs.nPrepare Basis of Estimate and compile all estimate documentation required for internal governance and client presentation / submissionnDeliver estimate review and customer presentations alongside Project ManagernAnalyse subcontractor pricing for accuracy and content.nEstablish wage rates and productivity factors.nSupport with check estimates, trend and change order estimates, and forecasting as required.

    Qualifications - Internal

    You'll have:
    nSignificant experience in an Estimating Role. Commercial awareness and proven success with benchmarking and data analytic skills.


    nIndustry Specific Experience:
    Experience working on projects within the Energy, Chemicals and Resources industriesnEducation:


    – Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline (Engineering preferred)nHSE Capability : Ability to comply with, promote and provide leadership in HSE policy and OneWayTM frameworknIT Skills:
    Advanced user of Microsoft Office Applications, Working knowledge of Estimating Software such as Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (KBase) or Cleopatra Enterprise

    nPeople Skills:
    Motivational and collaborative communication skills

    nBudgeting:
    Control estimating budget on projectsnStrong organizational planning skills
