Description

Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor has responsibility for the coordination of HSE activities on site ensuring that HSE Management Systems, policies and procedures comply with the company's HSE requirements.

The HSE Advisor will be assisting the Regional HSE Manager in developing and implementing site processes, policies and procedures with an emphasis on HSE regulatory requirements and Freudenberg requirements, as well as supporting and driving continuous improvement to assure the site has a positive and proactive HSE philosophy and culture.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Promote a positive HSE safety culture and lead by example.
  • Maintain compliance with UK Health and Safety Regulations, ensuring updates are monitored.
  • Provide HSE guidance and advice to all levels of the organization.
  • Assist HSE Manager to implement site policies, procedures, and processes to meet the requirements of the HSE Management System.
  • Undertake and support HSE audits/ inspections.
  • Support facility management/leadership to ensure they maintain up to date risk assessments and other company HSErelated assessments, ensuring processes are in place, implemented and managed to assure all activities carried out on site are covered by a valid risk assessment.
  • Monitor and drive completion of sitespecific/ department compliance tasks and actions.
  • Assist HR in the coordination of the occupational health program.
  • Support the delivery of the training plans, liaise with external training providers to arrange mandatory training.
  • Conduct HSE inductions for all new starters and manage HSE onboarding process.
  • Support the management of contractors on site, ensuring all RAMS and Contractor log is kept up to date.
  • Support the HSE Manager with international communications/requirements for Eastern Hemisphere.
  • Scheduling statutory servicing for LOLER, PUWER and fire systems etc.
  • Manage monthly HSE topics to raise awareness such as Toolbox Talks and/or internal training.
  • Support Regional HSE Manager in gathering information and preparing / completing various internal HSE Reports, Documents, forms etc.

PERSONABLE PROFILE / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate is essential.
  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential
  • Environmental certificate, e.g. NEBOSH or IEMA _(desirable)_
  • Internal auditing certificate to ISO14001 and/or

ISO:
45001 standard _(desirable)_

  • Must be PC literate and familiar with Microsoft office.
  • Must be a good communicator and able to influence others.
  • Shall be organized and trustworthy in handling confidential information.
  • Have the ability to be calm in the event of a crisis.
  • Be patient, diplomatic and approachable
  • Ability to build effective relationships with Managers and associates at all levels
  • Be able to demonstrate a professional, confident, and cando attitude
