    Join Our Team as a Learning Mentor at a Mainstream Secondary School in Southwark

    Job Title: Learning Mentor

    Location: Southwark, London

    Duration: Full-time, Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)

    Salary: Competitive, based on experience

    Responsibilities:

    As a Learning Mentor, you'll have a crucial role in supporting our students' overall development. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Providing individual or small group support to students needing extra help with learning or social-emotional growth.
    • Implementing personalized intervention strategies to address specific student needs and boost their academic advancement.
    • Establishing positive connections with students, serving as a mentor and advocate for their well-being and achievements.
    • Working collaboratively with teachers, families, and external organizations to create and execute tailored support plans for students.
    • Tracking student progress and behavior, offering feedback and guidance to encourage positive results.
    • Assisting in the adoption of school-wide projects focused on enhancing student engagement and success.

    Requirements:

    To thrive in this role, you should have:

    • Prior experience working with children or young individuals in an educational or youth environment.
    • A strong desire to support the educational, social, and emotional growth of young learners.
    • Outstanding communication and relational skills, capable of building connections with students, colleagues, and parents.
    • The capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team collaboratively.
    • A valid DBS certificate on the update service.
    • Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive mindset when faced with challenges.
