Saxonbrook Medical is a 20,000 patient population practice serving our community over two sites.
The team is comprised of Doctors, Physician Associates, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Nurses and Healthcare Assistants all supported by a strong administrative team.
We work together as a team to provide the best care possible to our community.We are a teaching Practice who welcome a number of trainees into the Practice including Doctors, Student Physician Associates and Student Nurses and also support the progress and development of our employees.
We work within a local Primary Care Network, working collaboratively with Social Prescribers, Pharmacists and First Contact Practitioners.We offer the NHS Pension Scheme. Clinical staff receive 25 days annual leave + bank holidays pro rata.
We also have a fantastic employee assistance programme available which can support with a whole array of things, as well as a wellness app.
They will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.
Provide first point of contact care for patients presenting with undiagnosed problems and manage a clinical caseload in a primary care setting.
Deliver integrated patient-centred care through appropriate working with the wider primary care multidisciplinary team and social care colleaguesUndertake consultations face-to-face, via telephone or online for emergency or routine problems as determined by the Practice.
Where required by the Practice, undertake specialised clinics following appropriate training.
Undertake home visits and participate in duty rotas
Provide health promotion/disease prevention advice to patients
Participate in continuing professional development activities as agreed with your line manager and clinical supervisors
Work in accordance with practice policies
PG Diploma or Masters in Physician Associate Studies from a UK training programme (or equivalent)
Clinical training and experience in
medical specialty
Ability to work with other professionals in both acute and community services
Experience of designing audit projects
Previous experience in Primary Care
Qualities and Attributes
Commitment to the Primary Care Network
Flexibility in shift/working patterns to meet the needs of the service
Willing to accept additional responsibilities as delegated by senior staff
