    Underwriting Assistant


    Aon is currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant to be part of our team. This is a versatile role, giving you the option to work remotely and from our Chelmsford office.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Supporting Underwriters in processing new and renewal accounts for a Global Binding Authority Facility.
    • Assisting with various insurance classes of business.
    • Aiding our offshore team in completing post bind administrative tasks promptly.
    • Accurately entering risk details on our Policy Administration System in a timely manner.
    • Coordinating with brokers and internal departments for risk information.
    • Compiling reports for insurers.
    • Ensuring compliance with Delegated Authority from insurers by monitoring control reports and rectifying errors.
    • Developing strong relationships with our Underwriters and insurers.

    Aon Underwriting Managers:

    AUM provides underwriting and claims services for insurers, focusing on commercial insurance products such as Accident and Health, Property and Casualty, Financial Lines, and Marine sectors. AUM plays a vital role in underwriting, pricing, issuing policies, and managing claims on behalf of insurers.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Prior experience in an underwriting support role is advantageous.
    • Minimum of A level standard (or equivalent).
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Self-disciplined and organized.
    • Team player.
    • High level of numeracy.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
