    Description

    Applications are invited for a Research Associate (RA) position within the Control and Power Research Group in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

    The post is supported by the Global Centre on Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-free Society (EPICS) involving multiple institutions across Australia, UK and US and working closely with the Global Power System Transformation Consortium (G-PST) .

    The RA will also be responsible for the dissemination of research outputs in academic journals and international conferences and for presenting project updates at regular meetings with UK and global partners of EPICS and G-PST.

    The successful candidate should have completed or be nearing completion of a PhD in electrical engineering, control, physics, or mathematics, with a focus on system stability, particularly the stability of distributed systems with incomplete information about the system model.

    Excellent verbal communication skills are also required, together with the ability to deal with a wide range of people and to write clearly for academic and non-academic audiences.
