- Provide technical and analytical leadership to support the project cycle in the Bank and guide project teams in Sustainable Infrastructure Group with the review and assessment of EBRD projects:
- Lead the development and application of methodologies and approaches to assess climate adaptation investments, climate risk assessment and deliver associated capacity building;
- Engage with public and private sector clients on project design and policy initiatives, providing advice and guidance;
- Keep abreast of developments in the specific sustainable infrastructure related areas, including with other IFIs, and provide comprehensive in-depth analysis, research and advice on these areas to the CSD and other Banking teams.
- Develop and present internal briefings and materials for senior management, showcasing the teams work internally and externally.
- Strong understanding of policy analysis and policy formulation in the areas of climate change, climate resilience, energy and infrastructure development;
- Excellent written/oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of another language of the Bank's countries of operations (e.g. Arabic, French, Serbian, or Turkish) would be an advantage;
- Proven ability to operate consistently within business guidelines and ethics and work sensitively in multicultural environments, building effective working relations with clients and colleagues, managing multiple tasks to meet varying deadlines;
- Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship building skills, with both internal and external partners;
- Demonstrated experience and familiarity in working within multicultural projects and teams.

Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkThe Associate, SBI sits within Climate Strategy and Delivery and plays an important role in the implementation of the strategy of the EBRD in the area of sustainable business and infrastructure.
The Associate will lead and oversee the execution of all related deliverables and drive the development of green elements of investments that deliver the EBRD's Green Economy Transition agenda and comply with the goals of Paris Agreement.
She/he will conduct independent research and lead ongoing initiatives of the team in relation to project finance, technical assistance, policy dialogue and capacity building activities.
The Associate will work primarily within the Sustainable Infrastructure team on major infrastructure projects, including low-carbon transport, water, and heating/cooling systems.
The Associate will also support on integrating emerging cross-cutting initiatives such as on Green Cities and nature finance.The Associate may operate across multiple areas, depending on business needs, and will need to have a strong background in infrastructure projects.
Evaluate climate related financial risk associated with clients' activities.
Advanced relationship management skills:
