    Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

    Contract Type: Permanent

    Location: Edinburgh

    Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

    We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Royal London. As a Software Engineer, you will have a significant role in providing technical expertise to assist our teams in creating, testing, and implementing effective solutions that meet the needs of our business and customers.

    The chosen candidate will have a pivotal role in shaping the development of our applications at Royal London. You will have the chance to advance your career within a team dedicated to fostering internal growth opportunities. This position focuses on enhancing the technology infrastructure that supports our Protection products and customer base.

    This position aligns with our goal of enhancing the choices available to our customers by delivering top-notch technology solutions.

    About the role

    • Work with a technology stack that includes Angular SPAs, .NET Web APIs, and SQL Databases.
    • Contribute to developing technical solutions and manage your workload effectively.
    • Offer technical guidance to fellow developers, both proactively and reactively.
    • Ensure all code complies with Royal London Group standards and quality checkpoints for the technology in use.
    • Foster close collaboration with other team members from various disciplines.
    • Proactively share knowledge and experiences within your technical area to enhance team performance.

    About you

    • Hands-on development experience in .Net and Angular, with a track record of successfully driving change in complex applications.
    • Experience in enterprise environments, engaging in the entire software development lifecycle.
    • Passion for supporting your team and working collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organization.
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels in an engaging manner.
    • Enthusiasm for continuously enhancing your technical skills in evolving technology ecosystems.
