Overview
Are you ready to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader for the role of Service Director - Children's Provider Services. This new exciting pivotal position will drive transformational change across the county. Responsibilities will include spearheading the expansion of our Children's Residential Home Programme, leading and championing our recently launched fostering retention and recruitment campaign and driving forward the work of our recently established Regional Adoption Agency.
This role offers an outstanding opportunity to be part of something bigger. We are seeking an individual who possesses a unique combination of experience in children's services and proven expertise of delivering at pace within a large, complex local authority. This is more than a job; it's a chance to make a difference and shape the future of our current and future generations in Buckinghamshire.
Salary of £125,000 per annum.

About the role
As the Service Director for Children's Provider Services, you will be responsible for providing inspiring leadership of the direct service provision within Children's Services, including children's homes, fostering, and the Regional Adoption Agency. You will also be accountable for the development and delivery of the expansion of Buckinghamshire's residential provision. Some of your tasks and responsibilities will include:

About you
We are looking for a candidate with substantial experience of leading Children's Services for Looked After Children, experience of working as a Senior Leader in a large local authority, and experience of managing a large budget and managing conflicting priorities. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to innovate in a complex and challenging context. You should also have extensive and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the national policy context, regulatory environment, financial legislation, and major issues facing the functional.
