    Description

    We are looking for an Agency head to join our Octave team in London.

    Your role will be to run and develop your agency patch in line with the key commercial strategy. You will be working alongside the current Agency Heads and Head of Sales to ensure agency plans are implemented fully, using them as a guide to drive revenue and direction of your team. You will effectively manage your agency team to ensure they are best in class both internally and externally.

    Our Team

    Octave has launched successfully over the last 4 years, working in an extremely short-term reactive market. We are growing the Agency Sales Team to ensure that Octave is the in the prime position to grow and take advantage of increased digital audio ad spend with a clear strategic, unified approach. This is a fantastic opportunity to help drive Octave further into a market leading platform.

    We are made up of talented, hardworking and creative people who are excited by the opportunities the fast growing and ever changing Audio IP industry offers. The agency head role is vital to making sure that strategy is implemented, and we reach our revenue expectations

    This is a hybrid position you will be working from home and our office location in London.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the revenue performance of Octave – ensuring we are growing our commercial share and diversifying revenue from other mediums.
  • Be responsible for the revenue across one of Octave largest agency patches, being the face of Octave externally.
  • Work seamlessly with Head of Sales and Agency Head counterparts to plan and implement agency strategies.
  • Align with podcast team to deploy a clear strategy and working relationship to give Octave the best possible chance to win briefs and stimulate new revenue.
  • Responsible for embedding the Octave culture and four pillars into your direct reports. Ensuring that your own team is performing to the highest standards internally and externally. Enable each member of your team to thrive and progress their career within Octave.
  • Maintain market engagement - Create commercial conditions conducive to trading with agencies, trading groups and clients direct. Including representing Octave at agency, client, and industry events
  • Digital replacement – Octave's aim is to migrate digital customers to our proposition not migrate spend from broadcast to IP audio. Channelling revenue from other digital mediums into digital audio is key.

    • What you will do

  • Strong Commercial acumen – ability to devise and execute your own agency business plans and sales strategy.
  • Have proven experience of managing senior level agency relationships.
  • Experience in managing and developing a high performing sales team.
  • Collaboration – Be able to work seamlessly with the commercial team and wider Octave team.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be a senior member of the commercial team.
  • Understanding of the UK Podcast landscape and how this compliments Octave's IP portfolio.
  • Be able to demonstrate understanding of longer term thinking for revenue generation and product diversification.
  • Digital knowledge - understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and how a data led proposition is positioned in that marketplace.
