    Job Title: Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse at St Marys Hospital London

    Are you an experienced registered nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to join a friendly Trauma and Orthopaedic Step Down - Reablement Albert Ward team within the Trauma Directorate? We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing safe and efficient care to patients, relatives, and carers. If you are eager to enhance your clinical knowledge and management skills, this role is for you!

    Main Duties of the Job:

    • You will collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality care to patients, relatives, and carers.
    • Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care will be part of your responsibilities without direct supervision.
    • You are expected to demonstrate procedures, mentor, and supervise staff, both pre and post-registration, independently.
    • In the absence of the Ward Matron, you will lead the ward daily, upholding excellent nursing standards.
    • Adhering to the Trust's Core Values and behaviors is crucial, and you will encourage this among your colleagues.
    • Consistent adherence to the NMC Code, showcasing dedication to quality patient care through leadership and teamwork.

    Requirements:

    Education/Qualifications

    Essential

    • NMC registration
    • Experience in leadership and management
    • Proficiency in IT and Math skills

    Desirable

    • Completion of a managerial or Leadership and Management course

      • Experience

      Essential

      • Demonstrable experience as a ward staff nurse
      • Previous work in a Medical/Surgical Ward
      • Leadership and management experience

      Desirable

      • Experience in a band 6 post

        • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

        Essential

        • Strong understanding of trauma nursing principles
        • Effective leadership skills
        • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload and ward operations
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
