What role wehave for you:

The Corporate Counsel will reportto Viators Assistant General Counsel and will be an integral memberof both the Viator business and Tripadvisors Legal Team. Thesuccessful candidate will be an organised creative and articulatelegal professional who is able to manage a number of high prioritymatters in a fastpaced environment. The role will carry asignificant amount of autonomy and expectations of collaboration.The Corporate Counsel will be expected to work in a crossfunctionalhybrid workfromhome workfromoffice (London or Oxford) model withlimited travel on an asneeded basis.

What youlldo:

This position will support and provideproduct regulatory commercial and transactional advice to Viator.This position will report directly to the Assistant General Counseland will work closely on a daytoday basis with business colleagueson things like commercial contracts regulatory compliance dataprivacy marketing and consumer protection. While every day will bedifferent in this fastpaced position some of the roles andresponsibilities you can expectinclude:

• Providing legal support on awide scope of matters for Viator;
• Ensuringcompliance with applicable local national and international lawsand regulations affecting travel experiences and Internetplatforms;
• Overseeing changes and developmentsin product offerings and managing relatedrisks;
• Providing strategic legal and businessadvice to help develop comprehensive longterm approaches tosignificant or recurring legalissues/risks;
• Counsel and identify solutionsfor unprecedented and complicated matters that requireconsideration of overlapping unharmonized and novel regulatorylegal and business requirements andtrends;
• Drafting and negotiating commercialagreements including standard terms of service (B2B and B2C)partnership agreements technology and content licenses servicesagreements and consultancyagreements;
• Collaborating with various otherteams in relation to compliance with tax and paymentsregulations;
• Providing advice with respect topromotional materials online advertising and emailmarketing;
• Working closely with other lawyersin the Legal Department (both in the UK and US offices) in acollaborative manner; and
• Engaging and managingoutside counsel.

What we are lookingfor:

• 5 years of experience preferablywith both law firm and inhouse experience with experience inhandling product counseling transactional regulatory commercialcontracts and adversarial matters. Experience working inhouse for abusiness running an online marketplace would be excellent; andexperience working inhouse for a business with a strong onlinepresence would be very helpful.
• Qualified as asolicitor with current practisingcertificate.
• Strong work ethic and the abilityto prioritise and followthrough on numerous projects concurrentlyin a dynamic environment.
• A selfstarter who isable to work well independently and as part of a team with strongorganisational and interpersonalskills.
• Proactive not reactive with ability towork independently in a fastpacedenvironment.
• Unwavering attention todetail.
• Superb written and oral communicationskills communicating well with external parties and all colleagueswithin the business from the executive team to juniorlevels.
• Excellent business judgment andstrategic thinking.
