    Description
    The history of Chester and its most famous hotel have been inextricably linked for many decades.

    Although the existing building dates back to 1865, there has been an inn on this site since the late sixteenth century.

    Throughout the twentieth century the hotel has earned an enviable reputation for understated elegance, sublime comfort and a relaxed ambience

    • As Financial Controller / Manager you will manage the onproperty accounting function with support and back up from the central accounting team. You will take responsibility for all hotel accounting and financial controls ensuring efficient and effective daily control systems are implemented and followed.

    Oversee the finance function, processes and controls ensuring a strong operational control environment with efficient and effective daily control systems is in place.

    Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial system.
    Produce the monthly management accounts and finance reporting pack. Bank posting and reconciliation of cash controls and bank statements.
    Payroll posting
    Stock reconciliations
    Hotel ledger reconciliation
    Assist with driving operational performance through efficiencies and cost control.
    ~ The ideal person will have at least 2 years` experience in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver efficiency and meet targets set out by the General Managers and Group Finance.

    Our properties range from specialist golfing hotels, to award-winning spa resorts and chic city centre properties.

    We pride ourselves on a diverse roster and a unique, individualised management style, with over 90 management agreements across the UK, alongside a further 30 management consultancy services, and 100 hotels with sales & marketing services only.
