    Description

    Deputy Design Authority Position at Hampshire - Offering Hybrid & Flexible Working Options with a Salary of up to £60,000

    We are seeking a Deputy Design Authority to join the Electronics division of our company. In this role, you will oversee and support design authorities responsible for sub-systems within an underwater system. You will play a key role in complex development projects, contributing throughout the entire lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct peer and design reviews of electrical and electronic sub-systems
    • Assist engineers in detailed electronic circuit design, component selection, simulation, and liaising with PCB design teams
    • Aid in specifying bespoke procured hardware
    • Perform design verification using simulation, analysis, and test techniques
    • Generate design documentation and technical reports
    • Collaborate with related disciplines
    • Support system integration activities
    • Apply technical skills and engineering experience to solve technical issues
    • Ensure design compliance with safety legislation and customer requirements
    • Provide project support and oversee peer review activities

    Requirements:

    You should have a degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field, along with experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Generating component level electronic designs for production
    • Digital design (processor interfacing, memory devices, etc.)
    • ADC/DAC devices and techniques
    • Analogue design (op-amps, transistor-level design, etc.)
    • High-power techniques
    • Experience in design proving activities and integration
    • Thorough understanding of safety aspects in high-power equipment
    • Previous experience in defence or high safety integrity environments (preferred)
