    We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Senior Space Management & Data Officer to join our expanding Space & Asset Management Team in Reading.

    About the role:

    • The Senior Space Management & Data Officer position will enhance the current space management capabilities in the team, providing necessary resilience and scope for innovation.
    • Reporting to the Head of Space & Asset Management, the role entails overall accountability for the quality, precision, and accessibility of space-related data across the entire Estate.
    • The accuracy of this data is closely related to the implementation of a new Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
    • Successfully introducing the system and integrating new procedures will be a significant focus during the initial year.
    • In the immediate term, this role aims to ensure the quality and punctuality of statutory reporting by stabilizing operations and establishing a dependable and efficient reporting schedule.
    • Subsequently, the role holder will spearhead enhanced reporting and space management strategies to notably enhance our services, especially in terms of long-term planning and strategy formulation.
    • This role involves extensive collaboration with various key stakeholders within the Estates directorate and throughout the broader organization.
    • The role also involves overseeing a junior Space Management & Data Officer.

    About you:

    • You should possess strong abilities in process management and influencing individuals.
    • A team player, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels and from different University departments.
    • With a degree-level education, you should hold additional qualifications in Space Management and/or reporting tools like PowerBi, Tableau, or Crystal Reports.
    • You must have substantial experience in Space Management roles within large and intricate organizations, preferably having exposure to diverse methods for monitoring and assessing utilization.
    • You should showcase a dedication to continuous enhancement, coupled with experience in formulating and implementing space regulations and protocols.
    • Demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills, adapting flexibly to changing priorities and task urgencies.
