    Description

    Head of External Reporting

    Salary: £120,000 - £126,000 per annum | Location: London A great opportunity for an individual with a strong financial reporting background in non-life insurance to join a highly progressive and expanding organisation. The appointee will act as a key senior member of the financial controllership team, contributing to a wide range of matters including beyond the boundaries of the specified role with interaction with the wider business.


    BAU duties will range from:


    Management of the external reporting teamReview of all regulatory returns and statutory accounts for the syndicate, group and further entitiesImplementing changes in regulatory reporting in line with regulatory developments and the growth of the businessLeading the monitoring and of changes to statutory and regulatory reporting rules and regulation and the implementation of required changes where necessaryLeading IFRS 17 reporting and processesWorking with senior management to advise on accounting considerations for specific events and transactionsBringing new ideas to achieving enhanced efficienciesImplementation of processes, controls and solutions to support new regulatory requirementsAct as the main point of contact with the auditors in respect of regulatory returns and financial statementsSupporting and developing team members providing encouragement, motivation, and guidanceOngoing involvement in projects and initiatives centred around a growing organisationDue to the highly progressive nature of this organisation the role is suited an ambitious individual.
