    Job Title: Specialist Technical Services Senior Operative (including Pharmacy Technicians)

    Join our team in the Main Pharmacy department where we provide a top-notch, adaptable, and responsive service. You might work in different areas within the Technical Services department depending on our current needs:

    • Aseptic Unit - supporting various treatments and products
    • Non-Sterile Unit - assisting in product production
    • Quality Assurance - ensuring manufacturing quality standards

    We are open to considering strong candidates who may not fully meet the requirements, offering developmental opportunities until competency targets are achieved.

    To excel in this role, you should hold a BTec, NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services (Pharmacy Technicians) or a BSc or equivalent in a related field.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Perform necessary checks during product production processes
    • Dispense various products, including cytotoxic items, accurately
    • Supervise staff deployment, workload prioritization, and tasks delegation
    • Prepare and dispense Radiopharmaceutical products
    • Handle isolators and work areas according to aseptic procedures
    • Accurately measure ingredients per product worksheet

    Experience:

    Essential

    • Prior experience in a pharmacy or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting
    • Handling hazardous materials
    • Experience with analytical techniques in a modern laboratory

      • Desirable

      • Working in a sterile environment
      • Training experience
      • Demonstrated supervisory skills

      Qualifications:

      Essential

      • BTec, NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services or equivalent

        • Desirable

        • Registered with the GPhC or Royal Pharmaceutical Society

          • Knowledge:

          Essential

          • Good Manufacturing Practice

            • Desirable

            • Pharmaceutical calculations proficiency
            • Hospital environment knowledge
            • COSHH regulations understanding
            • Accredited Checking Technician Status
