Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a
Production Supervisor to join our team based at our manufacturing site in
Kingswinford, West Midlands.


This is a
pivotal role within the Production team, responsible for the supervisory management of Production Associates, via our Team Leaders; providing leadership direction and supporting the factory vision and local strategy.

You will need to manage production resources in an efficient, effective and safe manner to produce high quality products in line with the quality standards


Directly responsible for section:
output, efficiency, roll out of Lean principles, 5s, TPM, Health and Safety and achieving production KPIs.


Responsible for coaching and developing both Team Leaders and Associates to ensure that skill levels are maintained and improved and support UK Operations Manager with identifying talent and succession planning.


Acting as an ambassador for Handicare, operating with integrity and drive and in line with our company values to promote Handicare as a market leader.


Key Deliverables;
-
Health and Safety; ensuing that Risk Assessments are completed and all colleague training is maintained
-
Team Working / Continuous Improvement; Conduct regular team briefings and participate in CI and Lean activity. Generate and drive Kaizen incremental improvements

Production schedule; Ensure daily/weekly achievement of the schedule, communicate clear priorities to the team. Identify potential issues and agree solutions. Monitor component inventory

People Management; Agree performance expectations and manage accordingly, monitor time and attendance, plan labour and ensure appropriate staffing levels. Identify training needs within the team and assist with recruitment of new team members

Quality; Communicate quality standards and ensure quality information is collated. Conduct Quality audits and ensure all paperwork is completed

Cost Control; appropriately manage costs of overtime and temporary workers. Monitor spend on consumables and monitor waste levels.


Essential skills;

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Mechanically minded with experience working with machinery in a machine shop environment
  • Experience working with Robotics and Welding
  • Previous experience working in a Team Management position
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and able to work under own initiative
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience managing projects

£33,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
