    Description

    We have an exceptional opportunity for an individual to take on a role within our award-winning Insurance & Financial Services practice, supporting the Partners and Client Directors across a variety of assignments.

    The role will be focussed on leading client deliverables on our Property and Casualty side. Our clients include both Retail insurers and the Lloyd's and London Market. Specifically, the individual would be expected to run projects in a diverse range of areas, which mostly include core capital deliverables, core reserving deliverables or a mixture of both.

    What will your role look like?

    • Providing high quality support to our insurance and reinsurance clients both in the UK and globally, either on a consulting basis or via secondment to the client, delivering projects on time and within budget. A key responsibility will be to lead the delivery of these projects
    • Developing and maintaining a good relationship with nominated clients, building and/or maintaining a strong network of contacts in the insurance industry
    • Training our junior team members so that they can become stars of the future
    • Identifying and developing further consultancy opportunities with new and existing clients
    • Collaborating across the business to deliver on cross-practice projects
    • Helping to promote our insurance offerings to a wider audience, which includes conference speaking and writing articles
    • Developing and shaping new propositions to take to our clients and prospects

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Significant experience across capital or reserving work, or both, for general insurers, either at a consultancy or within industry. This experience could also sit within the Retail market or Lloyd's and London market
    • Experience of running and planning projects with track record of delivering quality work on schedule
    • Candidates should be qualified UK actuaries with proven, relevant post-qualification experience
    • Excellent consulting skills and proven record of achievement and delivery
    • Strategic business acumen and knowledge of risks facing the insurance industry, which will have been acquired in an industry or consultancy role
    • Good knowledge of the requirements of Solvency II and familiarity with the relevant parts of the PRA and FCA handbooks
    • Knowledge of risk management frameworks typically used within financial services is an added bonus
    • Strong interest in training the rest of the team with experience of developing teams
