    THE ROLE
    This role plays a crucial part in advancing the business's growth aspirations.

    Collaborating with various roles within and outside the central Corporate Development team, fostering teamwork and synergy, engaging with senior stakeholders internally and externally.

    This position offers a distinctive chance to collaborate cross-departmentally, gaining exposure to senior leadership across the organization.

    Main Responsibilities:
    - Strategic Business Leadership
    Assisting the business by collaborating with Executive leads to outline and align on a corporate development strategy for their relevant business area
    Providing coaching and training to enhance awareness of corporate finance / M&A activities among other professionals and stakeholders.
    - Project Delivery and Managing Change
    Overseeing the evaluation of corporate transactions and potential M&A opportunities (investments and divestments), including:
    Market research, target evaluation, and selection
    Detailed analysis if needed
    Preparing/ reviewing comprehensive and informative valuation models, including integrated three-statement valuation models
    Coordinating transaction execution, including due diligence, in collaboration with external advisors when necessary
    Managing the corporate deal pipeline
    - Day to day
    Investment Appraisal and Governance / Analysis and Use of Evidence
    Conducting investment appraisal on investment initiatives, advising internal investment boards and ensuring governance compliance
    Assisting in developing and refining the capital allocation framework
    Collaborating with Company Secretarial to facilitate post-investment reviews and evaluate key learnings, identifying trends to support future decision-making
    Leading and overseeing reviews of the investment portfolio, sharing best practices
    Creating presentations, reports, and financial analysis for Senior Management/ External Stakeholders as needed in a clear and concise manner
    - Stakeholder Management/ Business Relationships
    Establishing, managing, and nurturing strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external), ensuring that primary goals are achieved to enhance business performance by providing objective advice, insights, and constructive challenges

    WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

    KEY CRITERIA
    Experience in investment banking, corporate development, consulting, or M&A advisory services
    Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA or equivalent) or undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
    Experience in executing M&A transactions/ deal management and equity structuring (full buyouts, joint ventures, minority interests)
    Solid financial background with comprehension of corporate finance concepts
    Ability to evaluate risks and ensure commercial value for stakeholders
    Experience in analyzing intricate details, while also presenting a compelling narrative at a macro level, emphasizing key issues or findings
    Extensive knowledge of Excel, including constructing integrated three-statement financial models
    Proficient in fundraising/financing using various financial instruments
    A flexible and diligent approach in meeting demanding deadlines

    DESIRABLE
    Experience working in a commercial environment
    Ideally, proficiency in using Capital IQ platform (or similar)
    Understanding of the Media industry/ landscape is a plus
