- Oversee a portfolio of medical malpractice claims, notifications, and regulatory healthcare matters in line with the company Claims Manual and regulatory standards.
- Proactively investigate and manage claims from initial notice through resolution, including coverage determination, liability analysis, quantum assessment, and strategy development.
- Ensure adequate reserving in accordance with the company Reserving Philosophy.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including underwriters, brokers, solicitors, and TPAs, to enhance organizational performance and deliver optimal service to our insured clients.
- Negotiate claim settlements in conjunction with appointed experts.
- Assist with the training and development of other team members.
- Experience handling casualty claims, preferably in healthcare would be a huge bonus , across different locations (experience in the UK and Ireland is a plus).
- Have relevant insurance qualification or be willing to take qualifying exams (ACII / FCII)
- Knowledge of London Market systems like ECF and operating protocols is helpful.
- Understanding of general insurance principles and practices.
- Interest in continuous professional and personal growth.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
