    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Dry Gas Seals Team reporting to the Lead Engineer for Gas Seals.

    As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be developing innovative solutions to customer-specific applications that go beyond the standard dry gas seal product range.

    You will support Right First Time (RFT) activities by troubleshooting non-conforming seal designs through data analysis and the cosmetic appearance of the Dry Gas Seal.

    This role is based at our headquarters in Slough, working Monday to Friday during normal office hours (Hybrid working). John Crane is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to crafting an inclusive environment for all employees.

    Perform specific development programs for customer-driven Dry Gas Sealing applications, including developing plans, test specifications, design generation, qualification testing, and report generation.

    # Provide technical input and guidance to projects related to the design, performance, procurement, manufacturing, and testing of Dry Gas Sealing products for turbomachinery equipment.
    # Deliver detailed technical presentations to customers to support sales and training initiatives.
    # Prepare correspondence and technical engineering reports related to the projects.
    # Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to produce 3D models/assemblies for analyzing product performance (e.g., finite element analysis).
    # Support RFT activities by troubleshooting problems related to product performance or production difficulties and/or monitor tests to validate actual results with theoretical analysis.
    # Enhance knowledge on topics related to assigned projects.

    Must have knowledge of CAD, 3D modeling, and 2D drawing, ideally within rotating equipment.
    Should demonstrate skills for self-managing projects to ensure on-time delivery.
