    Description
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietetics Therapy Services Manager within the Therapy and Rehabilitation Directorate.

    This is a part time post (30hrs per week) and will involve the operational management of a Dietetics across both City Hospital and Queen's medical Centre campuses.


    You will be a Registered Dietician and will work within a wider operational team supporting the Therapy and Rehabilitation directorate.

    The role will involve supporting clinical teams operationally, planning staffing capacity, and contributing to strategic vision, service improvement, quality and safety.


    The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, thrive on supporting teams and be passionate about service improvement and the allied health professions.

    Continued clinical activity would be supported within your job plan and can be discussed at interview. The management team consists of supportive peers with significant experience. This is a friendly team who value the personal and career development of leaders.
    Manage a specialty within the Therapy & Rehabilitation Directorate which could include multiple professions.

    • Champion and drive change to support the trusts Strategy
    • Develop specific aspects of the Therapy Service working in partnership with the other managers.
    • Deputise for the Head of Service for Therapy and Rehabilitation
    • Assist with the management of other areas of the Therapy Service during planned or unplanned absence.

    The Therapies and Rehabilitation pathway is one of the pathways that together make up the Clinical Support Division at NUH.

    We are a diverse pathway of AHPs and support staff, employing over 700 staff, who works together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to.

    Our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprise of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists.

    We have a Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction, and many of the pathway leadership team have AHP backgrounds to support our staff.

    There are also Practice Development Therapists to support career development for all.
    Training qualifications
    Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and post registration training to Masters level or equivalent.

    Project management and strategic and business planning
    Service improvement and Change management
    Human Resource management
    oStrong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to receive and present highly complex, sensitive or contentious data to individuals and groups, overcoming barriers to communication
    oAble to influence the direction and decisions of the Service, Directorate, Trust and, as required, external audiences

    Evidence of working with numerical data, able to analyse, interpret data

    Ability to deliver, monitor and plan services at an operational level, using business knowledge of the to make decisions on requirements of the service and its development.

    oAbility to plan schedules (rotations) that impact within own services and others
