    Title: Principal Software Engineer

    Salary: £120,000 - £150,000

    A quick intro to Lottie

    Lottie is a HealthTech start-up, founded by brother duo, Chris and Will Donnelly. Our mission is to elevate later life for everybody and build the later living sector of the future. To date, Lottie has raised over £20m, from leading Venture Capital Funds including Accel, General Catalyst and Kindred, as well as global tech executives including Tom Blomfield (Founder of Monzo Bank) and Dave Wascha (CPTO of Zoopla).

    Lottie launched in August 2021 and today offers three core products and services, including:

    • Lottie's Marketplace (B2B2C) - A free service that helps families and retirees find the UK's best care homes and retirement living properties.
    • Found by Lottie (B2B) - CRM software mapped to the care and retirement living industries unique customer journey.
    • Seniorcare by Lottie (B2B) - Employee benefits platform, helping corporates deliver outstanding eldercare support to their employees.

    Since launching, Lottie has now supported hundreds of thousands of families navigate the stressful later living system, while helping thousands begin their next chapter in later life.

    The opportunity

    We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our Engineering function. It's a passionate, growing team and one that values autonomy, empowerment and bias-to-action.. We want people to take responsibility and contribute to product decisions and be part of the future of what we build at Lottie.     We have a modern tech stack and have already built 3 separate products - Our Marketplace, an exciting SaaS product and Seniorcare. We've also started building internal tools to supercharge our customer-facing and partner-facing teams. We want to help bring technology to every corner of the care home sector to improve the experiences of care-seekers, residents and care homes.

    What you'll be doing

    • Help build our technology from the ground up
    • Make key architectural decisions alongside leadership as to how we evolve our products
    • Work across the stack to build out our market leading products
    • Contribute to decision making whilst collaborating with the wider product team
    • Work with product review user feedback and build user driven products
    • Own the development of new features from conception to completion
    • Mentor other engineers in best practices and level up the engineering function

    Who we're looking for

    • Breadth of experience across infrastructure, backend and frontend technology stacks
      • We use Node, React, PHP, golang, AWS, BigQuery to name a few of our technologies
      • With a view that PHP is being sunset over time
    • Has worked in complex software systems - both front-end and back-end and understand the importance of good data structures, a scalable architecture and constantly evolving tech stack
    • Enjoys working in cross functional teams - PMs, UX, Designers and Data
    • Product focused and empathetic towards the users of our product
