We operate multiple retail brands including Kwik Fit with over 800 centres in the UK and Netherlands as well as Stapletons Tyre Services which sells over 6 million tyres to trade customers in the UK.
Supporting over 800 locations including our retail centres, warehouses and dealership sites is no small task.Our Technology department plays a key role in delivering a high quality service to ETEL's customers 7 days a week.
With positions in Architecture, Software Development, Project Management and Technology Operations, our Technology Team provides a complete end to end service to the ETEL business.
ETEL is a large and complex business encompassing (i) Retail – Kwik Fit, Tyre Pro's, Central Tyre, Kwik Fit Mobile and Kwik Fit Fleet brands, (ii) Stapleton's wholesale & distribution, and (iii) ETEL Head Office functions e.g.
Net Development Manager will oversee the planning, development, and implementation .Net aspect of technology solutions within the organisation.This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to ensure the successful delivery of technology projects.
Net Development Manager will work as a key member of the Retail Technology Solutions team and with other teams in the department (e.g. Architecture & Data Analytics, Transformation & Project Delivery, Operations) to ensure the future direction of technology supports and enables both the Retail business strategies and the overall ETEL Technology Strategy.The role will support the Head of Technology Solutions (Retail) with the implementation of the Technology strategy.
This permanent role is based upon 40hrs per week between Monday and Friday, on a hybrid basis to include time spent onsite at our central offices in Broxburn, plus other ETEL UK locations when required.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of software developers to achieve their full potentialConduct monthly documented 1:1 reviews with your team focused on wellbeing, HR matters, delivery of assigned projects / activities and development needs
Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that team members have the necessary tools, training, and support
Technical Project Management:
Lead the technical planning, execution, and delivery of software prioritised development projects
Work closely with project managers and other business units to define project requirements
Ensure projects are completed on time, on cost, meeting or exceeding quality standards
Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes
Technology Support
Ensure all Retail technologies are supported at all times by appropriately skilled internal and 3rd party supplier resources
Participate in an on-call rota to ensure all systems are supported outside of normal working hours
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Architecture, Middleware, Technology Operations, and external suppliers
Effectively communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment
Ensure that solutions documented, including database design and technical specifications
Lead in the improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies
Propose and implement enhancements to existing systems to improve performance and maintainability
An experienced and technically excellent technology manager, with proven experience in leading and managing software a development teams.
A manager who can clearly communicate and engage business and IT professionals alike.
5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on .NET technologies.
NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, and MVC.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
Effective at driving short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals
Experience of technical project management
Experience of application support processes and 3rd party application support management.
Performance related bonus up to 15% of annual salary
