Teaching Assistant required to provide 1-2-1 support for a male Key Stage 4 student within a mainstream secondary school.

Are you a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant who has experience supporting students who have struggled to engage with lessonsand have an EHCP? This school is looking for Teaching Assistant who has a passion for helping young people to overcome barriers to education, to inspire and motivate this young person.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be joining an established team of classroom assistants within an outstanding special needs department.

This school aims to provide a supportive and welcoming environment for all students and has recently been praised for itsincluding policy.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing 1-2-1 support during lessons and supporting your student within the inclusion hub.

This role requires experience supporting children with special needs and ideally you will hold a Level 3 TeachingAssistant Qualification.

Job Role:

  • Supporting Key Stage 4 student on a 121 basis
  • Having good knowledge of special educational needs
  • Working as a Teaching Assistant / Classroom Assistant
  • Helping the student to engage with lessons and enjoy being in school
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
