    • Bright Horizons Chilworth Day Nursery and Preschool


    Salary: £26,600 - £32,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)


    Location:
    • Chilworth

    We are seeking a full-time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Chilworth Day Nursery.

    Our nursery in Chilworth accommodates 64 children and is located in the University Parkway Science Park in Southampton, conveniently close to local bus routes.

    The nursery has received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted for its dedication to providing high-quality childcare and education (July 2019).

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to provide exceptional care and education
    • Ensure a stimulating learning environment with engaging activities indoors and outdoors
    • Plan enriching learning opportunities and outstanding care to support children's development
    • Build strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, carers, and other professionals to meet each child's needs
    • Promote child welfare, safety, and safeguarding practices
    • Maintain a positive, safe, and happy environment in collaboration with colleagues

    Requirements:
    • Full and Relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (mandatory)
    • Prior experience in an Early Years setting, preferably as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar
    • Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
    • Proficiency in Safeguarding, Child Protection, and relevant legislation for working with children
    • Ability to establish trustful relationships with colleagues and parents
    • Effective communication skills with children and adults
