    Battersea Fitness and Wellbeing Gym | Hybrid-Working | Permanent (Part Time or Full-Time)

    Up to £36,000 per year, depending on experience

    per week (with face-to-face appointments on Mondays and Fridays)

    Minimum of 3 days in person with the remaining hours remote

    As an Emotional Wellbeing Counsellor, you will need to have previous experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges and be acquainted with a step-care method to therapy. You should hold a degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field, with at least 2 years of post-degree counselling experience, and BACP accreditation.

    The main objective of this exciting new position is to assist in providing various psychological interventions and Step 2 stepped-care treatment in a private healthcare environment to individuals dealing with common mental health issues.

    As our Emotional Wellbeing Counsellor, you will:

    • Assess and assist individuals dealing with common mental health issues in managing their recovery independently.
    • Conduct patient-centered interviews to identify areas where individuals seek change and/or recovery while accurately evaluating self-harm and harm to others.
    • Make decisions regarding the suitability of new referrals, following Nuffield Health referral guidelines, and direct clients to appropriate support agencies, GPs, or escalate treatment within the organization to higher intensity levels when our service may not be suitable.
    • Uphold practice standards in line with NH and relevant regulations, staying informed about new recommendations/guidelines from the Department of Health.
    • Ensure confidentiality of client information is maintained at all times in accordance with information governance policies.
    • Stay informed about and updated on advancements in treating common mental health issues.
    • Maintain accurate records related to ongoing professional development and stay current on the latest theoretical and service delivery models/developments.
