Description

The key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the management of staff and services in the Student Finance Advice team, including staff appraisal and sickness and absence reporting.
  • Responsible for the overall provision of an efficient and studentorientated advice service to students.
  • Provide information and confidential advice services on areas including debt management, hardship fund/loans, hardship funds etc.
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of developments in student finance and financial support nationally.
  • Deliver a programme of outreach activities that include both remote accessed and inperson advice and information activities.

Profile

Person Specification:

  • Two years managerial experience within an office environments, preferably within higher education.
  • Substantial experience in student finance and welfare advice.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK student support systems.
  • High level of communication, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent IT skills.
