    Job summary

    ERA Systems is a digital innovation looking at large scale spread and adoption across the NHS. Proof of concept and return on investment is currently looking to be realised within perinatal services and therefore ERA Systems is looking for an experienced project lead to drive forwards the next phase of the innovation.

    The main drive behind this role is to support the go live of ERA as a digital system, collect both quantitative and qualitative outcome measures, and support multiple agencies to realise the benefits of ERA in order to improve health outcomes across the county.

    The initial focus will be on perinatal services across Somerset with the intent to then liaise with and support other maternity services as further pilot sites are identified. A driving licence and the willingness to travel to both Somerset acute sites and other maternity services nationwide is required.

    Main duties of the job

    The successful candidate will provide education and training for the multidisciplinary team within Maternity and other identified specialties. They would be expected to work with end users and use clinical knowledge and expertise to develop and expand the system where necessary.

    As ERA is adopted by other services/organisations it is expected that the candidate will develop and deliver a robust training and implementation package that will accompany ERA as they commit to installation.

    This training and implementation package will require the candidate to:

  • Deliver presentations and demonstrate the system to all levels of clinical, administrative and managerial staff in a manner that is appropriate for the audience.
  • Produce effective training materials using a variety of sources such as e-learning, presentations, user guides & webinars.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Educational Teams to maintain a record of staff training.
  • Monitor and collate feedback from training sessions and resources to review their effectiveness and value; and use the feedback to improve the quality of delivered sessions.
  • Engage with multi-agency colleagues such as Talking Therapies, Perinatal Mental Health, GP, Health visitors and Public Health.

    • The candidate will be expected to be educated to degree level or relevant experience and have experience of working within a project or change environment.

    Essential

  • Mentorship/teaching qualification or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge around perinatal services

  • Experience in providing clinical skills or IT training
  • Evidence of leading on large scale project / innovation

  • Working towards a Masters level qualification in related subject area

  • Has led training on obstetric emergencies
