    Senior Design Manager Opportunity

    An exceptional chance has emerged for a skilled Senior Design Manager to join a well-known Tier 1 Main Contractor.

    The chosen candidate will play a key role in a £450M Mixed-use project in the vibrant city of London. This project encompasses diverse construction areas like Education, Residential, Leisure, and Commercial.

    Our client boasts a wide-reaching network of offices and an impressive annual turnover exceeding £2 Billion. Renowned for partnering with top-tier blue-chip clients, they excel in securing repeated business thanks to their stellar reputation in the industry.

    As a Design Manager for this venture, you will collaborate closely with a Senior Design Manager and the project team. Your responsibilities will involve strategic planning, seamless integration, and effective coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This presents an exciting chance to contribute to a challenging project and advance your career within a reputable organization.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Proficiently manage design tools to oversee the quality, compliance, and progress of consultants' and subcontractors' designs at all project phases.
    • Ensure adherence to best practices, conduct design assurance reviews regularly, and maintain alignment with the commercial strategy while meeting design deliverables.
    • Support the Senior Design Manager in risk management, identifying opportunities, and assessing the project's design-related changes.
    • Document all design-related project interactions, including approvals, comments, submissions, and reviews, to drive outcomes and ensure alignment with project guidelines.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Desirable to possess a relevant professional qualification in a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in design management – RIBA stages 3 to 6.
    • Demonstrated on-site delivery experience.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with various team members to ensure a unified approach to design, procurement, and construction.
