    We are recruiting a Senior Strategy Manager to join NHS England's Strategy Team, which sits within the Strategy Directorate.

    At the heart of strategic development in the NHS, the team works across directorates to inform strategic decisions and shape policies.

    This includes generating insight into challenges and opportunities, feeding into development of the long and medium term strategy. for example, election and spending review preparations, as well as feeding into NHSE business planning

    • Strategic reviews- Leading or supporting specific strategy projects.
    Senior Strategy Managers work across a range of projectsandall will include:


    • managing teams, resources and relationships with senior stakeholders
    • You will have excellent strategic problem-solving skills, the ability to lead analysis and use data and evidence to maximum effect, combined with an excellent knowledge of the health and care sector. In April 2023, NHS England, NHS Digital, and Health Education England merged to create a new, single organisation to lead the NHS in England.
    The new NHS England board have set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all, which will inform the detailed design work and we will achieve this purpose by:

    Enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.
    Optimising the use of digital technology, research, and innovation

    Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

    We have flexible workingpolicies andwould be happy to discuss flexible working requirements with any candidates. .

    Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8d with a full-time starting salary of £83,571 with a pay step increase after 5 years' service.

    This is offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and is based on office location.

    Educated to Masters level or equivalent level OR equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.

    Experience of leading a strategic task and finish project at a regional or national level.
    Commitment to and focused on quality, promotes high standards in all they do.
