    About The Role

    THG has over a decade of experience growing brands in the Beauty and Wellness sectors in over 160 markets. Our team design, develop and build bespoke proprietary technology platforms that are used by millions worldwide. With a world-class business and disruptive business model, our ambition is to become the global digital leader.

    THG's operations and logistics teams are central to our extraordinary growth, with over 18 warehousing and fulfilment sites globally and over 195 shipping destinations worldwide. In 2020, THG gained over 10.7 million new customers across our portfolio of sites and made a number of key acquisitions including manufacturing and distribution facilities. We're also continuing to invest in our global infrastructure, with plans to add millions of square feet in new distribution facilities worldwide.

    Main Responsibilities

    The UK Training compliance team support the people strategy and operational requirements in relation to business growth and day to day responsibilities for skills, development, design and projects. Our vision is "To provide effective, safe and quality learning interventions for the heart of our business in the role they are taking, the role they are in and the role they want in the future" It is an integral department within operations supporting staff from their first day and through their career progression within THG.

  • Manage & Develop a team of Compliance Training Specialists.
  • Design and deliver a compliance training strategy that is aligned to the Group Manufacturing strategy.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with the compliance learning management system.
  • Work across the UK Nutrition Manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment on strategy and best practice.
  • Support the wider Manufacturing group to enable alignment to the UK Nutrition Compliance training strategy.
  • Plan and design creative and engaging learning interventions focused on ensuring technical compliance and excellence.
  • Assess and evaluate the success of learning events.
    • Build strong working relationships with operational stakeholders.
  • Act upon site technical gap analysis to plug gaps through compliance/technical training.
  • Ensure compliance and audit readiness across Manufacturing sites.
  • Support sites with development of SOP's.
  • Support the safety team to integrate their safety training program into the compliance learning management system where possible. Safety training owned by the safety team.
  • Involvement with the wider nutrition manufacturing leadership team to ensure and enable collaboration.
  • Implement Competency framework that routinely reviews staff competencies in their job roles.
  • Identifying needs for refresher training, re-training, coaching opportunities. (BRC clause 7.1.7 requirement)
  • Post training competency assessment required for CCP training and must take place after training and predetermined intervals (BRC clause 7.1.2 requirement)

  • Experience managing a team of learning and development professionals
  • Excellent Design and Delivery Skills – creative, engaging, effective
  • Confident Communication style (verbal and written)
    • Time Management
  • People focused
  • Natural Coach
  • Results focused (evaluation and competence time frame)
  • PC skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • General understanding of site Health & Safety, Quality and HR procedures
  • Flexibility to travel to THG Manufacturing sites as required, with expected travel of 4 nights away per month, with additional need to travel daily around the northern sites in the network.
  • Design training using a range of methods, from eLearning, to Classroom
  • L&D Qualification level 3 and above.
