    Job Summary

    Are you a proactive, dynamic and collaborative individual with a proven record of providing highly efficient and high-quality administrative support to a range of stakeholders? If so, St Giles is looking for a Volunteer Education Project Coordinator to provide first-class administrative support to our pioneering SOS+ Service.

Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others.

    About SOS+

    Working with young people in a variety of educational settings, St. Giles' SOS+ Service delivers early intervention work, through one-to-one mentoring and preventative sessions on violence, vulnerability and exploitation. The mission of SOS+ is to prevent children and young people becoming involved in gangs and youth violence by equipping them with tools, knowledge and support delivered by experts with lived experience.

    We will also count on you to follow up leads for business development opportunities, oversee the management of the service movements, ensuring that sessions are booked virtually through online platforms like Zoom, and face-to-face sessions are appropriately organised, which includes the booking of travel and accommodation. Overseeing the weekly movement sheets for staff and volunteers and supporting coordinators with this process so it runs smoothly for all SOS+ staff members is also an important aspect of this role.

    What we are looking for

  • A proven track record of providing first-class, efficient administrative support
  • Experience of project management including coordinating activity, partnership work with key stakeholders to achieve agreed goals, leading to successful delivery of a service/project
  • Proven experience of working in a high-intensity environment, being self-motivating, with an ability to effectively manage your own wellbeing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

    • As an organisation that works with children and adults at risk we are committed to safeguarding, protecting and promoting the safety of our clients and successful applicants will require an Enhanced Child and Adult with Child Barred DBS Check.
