About Anita Furlong:

I'm a recent graduate from Buenos Aires with a BA in Fine Art and History of Art. My main practice is painting and I'm skilled in video work, photography and art writing. I am interested in community-building activities and have experience leading life-drawing weekly sessions and a trans-feminist society at University. I've worked in hospitality for renowned restaurants around London and customer service in fashion during my studies while doing bits in acting, fashion styling, putting together art shows and volunteering.

Experience

Goldsmiths Life Drawing group - Organiser

  • Booking models and different spaces in which to run weekly 2-hour long sessions. Planning projects in advance to create a program. I.e. Valentines day couples posing, Halloween costume session, Musicians posing while playing, dancers performing, special lights. 
  • Deliver an alternative to traditional life drawing, prioritizing different types of bodies and giving agency to the models to choose how they posed.
  •  Managing social media for the group and Whatsapp groups ensuring successful communication and active engagement with participants.

 

Studio Nicholson, London - Sales Assistant and Store Supervisor

  • Providing excellent service and support to customers to ensure client satisfaction and engagement, assisting them with styling. 
  • Supervising online order placements, monitoring order status, returns and exchanges. 
  • Ensuring proper stock levels and successful arrivals of in-store product launches, proper storing and managing of the stock. 
  • Knowledge of order management systems including Shopify.

UNA, London (One table restaurant experience) - Front of House 

In charge of overall front of house duties at a private luxury restaurant setting and. Hosting guests to ensure an excellent and personalised experience at the special location of the St. Pancras clock-tower.
