About Beth Wilson:

I am an extremely outgoing individual with an excellent work ethic and time management skills. I enjoy working to deadlines as it allows me to schedule my work accordingly to ensure it is completed to the highest standard possible. I also enjoy overcoming challenges and putting my problem solving skills to good use, this is majorly what sparked my interest in studying engineering as an undergraduate at university. I work well within a team environment and strive to ensure a team is motivated to work well and ultimately complete tasks effectively and efficiently, this commonly guides me to undertake a leadership role within a team. I have evidenced doing this from a young age as I was selected to lead the Glasgow Riderz cycling team through the Youth Tour of Scotland at the age of thirteen. I have continued to prove this throughout my working career by becoming a keyholder for Nisa Local Giffnock and going on to achieve a promotion to supervisor while working for Ca-Va Bar and Brasserie. I do however also work well individually and never find self-motivation to be an issue which helped in driving me to achieve the title of Scottish Champion for Track cycling at the age of twelve and competing in many national and international cycling races. The hours spent training to achieve these goals were mainly spent training alone and an abundance of resilience was required throughout my cycling career before putting it on the back burner to focus on my education. My abundance of self-motivation when working alone allowed me to work hard and achieve exam results throughout my academic career that I am extremely proud of. As a whole I do find myself to be a very confident and well rounded individual with a lot of potential to succeed in whatever I put my mind to.
