About Mahima Baragi:

Experience
I am looking forward to taking on the role of HR as I am eager to apply my work and academic knowledge to enhance employee relations and foster a positive work environment. I understand how challenging a fast-paced work atmosphere will be and I look forward to putting my problem-solving and decision-making abilities forefront. With the opportunity to work creatively and apply divergent thinking, to meet the always evolving needs of the working sector, I believe that I am a good fit for this role. I'm ready to grow and learn, and I'm willing to accept criticism well.
My skills and abilities have developed considerably, and I am certain that I can be a productive member of your Human Resources team. I have developed skills such as multitasking and effective time-management whilst studying, working part-time, and participating in extracurricular activities. I have always taken the initiative in my own professional and personal development by participating in extracurricular activities, accepting a variety of roles, including course representative, and actively participating in PDC Brunel's product design and marketing initiatives, such as the ready program within which I was awarded as the top-leader due my problem solving abilities in helping my team to reach the finals and also in suggesting suitable and sustainable solutions to help the Zambian refugees. In addition to undertaking my degree, I have participated in several initiatives, including serving as a Peer Assisted Learning Leader, where I assist first-year students in acclimating to university life by introducing them to new concepts, directing them to available resources, and offering tips and guidance. In this role, I demonstrated my proficiency with Microsoft applications by creating presentations, managing attendance sheets, and providing statistical information. I am also the elected NUS delegate for my university, due to my unwavering opposition to discrimination and my passion for voicing student concerns. In the recent NUS summit, I had the honour of representing my university in the final stage, presenting in front of over 300 universities and colleges nationwide. Throughout the two-day event, I effectively communicated and advocated for student issues in various meetings. In recognition of my proactive approach and consistent delivery of exceptional results, I was honoured with the Bronze Award by the PDC team. Furthermore, I am taking an additional course offered by the university to study Spanish, to broaden my horizons and employability.
I have worked in different environments with individuals from various walks of life. My work style exhibits adaptability and flexibility. In addition, I have honed my attention to detail when performing leadership responsibilities to ensure that the work delivered collectively is flawless. I am able to expresses myself in an understandable and effective manner and have completed various administrative tasks such as intern-training, backstage and runway duties, leading teams for various projects. My involvement in multiple academic programmes and my past roles have equipped me with skills to effectively run and manage internal networking platforms, which has further improved my project contributions. In both a personal and professional context, I am a goal-oriented and value-driven individual who values diligence, lifelong learning, and respect for others. In my former position as a creative lead, I was able to demonstrate my ability to make data-driven judgments. Additionally, the ready program, which entails creating a product that may benefit Zambian refugees, has allowed me to improve my ability of making informed decisions by analysing the data from their target market and working with my team to select the best idea amongst all prospects after carefully studying all the potential outcomes.
Education
I have diplomas in media and fashion with an emphasis on organisational, business, and administrative functions.
