Omar E. Ghosaini

I have just completed my second year of studying Law @SOAS, University of London. It is incredibly valuable for me to supplement my study of the law with practical knowledge and exposure to the profession by gaining broader experiences. Furthermore, I have taken the opportunity this year to focus on gaining practical experience in a sector I wish to dive into more and continue my final year of law studying next year graduating in 2024. I am searching for a diverse and professional environment where I can gain such insights and be challenged and more importantly add value as part of a dynamic team. My expectation is that a strong academic performance, combined with such work experience will provide me with a solid foundation and prepare me to critically think and problem solve effectively through any endeavor I undertake.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Aug 2022(1m) 

Legal Intern, Orange Brand Services, UK Region Office - Shadowing and working behind associates, with a focus on IP law regulations, and compliance. My roles and responsibilities included aided associates with drafting documents, for examples PLAs, and investigative work whereby other entities may be utilizing company claimed trademarks in order to profit and boost their own business goals.
 

June 2021(2m) 

Business Intern, Rajai Paper Products Ltd, Ghana -. My main roles and responsibilities were to deal with cost-efficiency, and how the business could improve its margins. I was also allocated the responsibility of secretarial work, including setting up executive and client meetings, whereby I was also able to develop  clientele relationship building abilities. (Family Business)

February 2020 

Linklaters - Insight Afternoon. I was selected following a successful application of scenario and critical thinking tests. This commercial workshop helped develop my foundational knowledge of commercial law.

Legal Intern - The Coca- Cola Company, UK Region office. During my time with the legal department, I was able to gain insights into working as part of an in-house legal department in a Multinational organization. Observing first-hand how the law intersects with the business world was incredibly interesting for me. I was able to particularly get exposure to areas of the law that I am curious to learn more about, particularly competition law and Data Privacy/ GDPR.

PART-TIME EXPERIENCE - 2022

(Current) Juicer - Joe and the Juice - Developing team-work, relationship building and leading a team in a unique high and stressed environment, improving ability to problem-solve constant and new issues regularly. 

(Current) English Tutor - Superprof - I am registered as a part-time English Tutor, my work has included both adults and children, developing my interpersonal skills, and understanding individuals. The discipline of such experience has provided me with valuable skills such as improved organization and time management. 

(2019)Cities for Children Campaign - Student Ambassador. As an ambassador for the campaign, I was responsible for organizing school charity events, fundraisers as well as representing the organization at conventions.
