Social

Services offered

I come with extensive experience in counselling, mental health, social care and project management.

While providing support, assistance to clients in need, vulnerable communities and those at risk or crisis I ensure a protective environment that respects human dignity and the cluster approach for community programmes.

As a Center Manager at Women at Risk International Foundation , I conducted myself in a way which was acceptable to the community, hence easy acceptabiliy to the leaders and community as a whole.

As Project Manager at Adebayo Abiodun Welfare Foundation, I have worked on various community regeneration projects. I have proved to be an independent worker with a reputation as a resourceful problem-solver who uses my initiative and organizational skills to get the job done. I am regarded as a competent team leader, with ability to remain focused, self-directed in a fast paced work environment and the ability to deal with conflicting demands.

My passion for working in the Mental Health field inspired me to train as a Mental Health Nurse,  graduating at Greenwich University, UK. At my previous position at the NHS, I worked as a Mental Health Nurse and Counsellor for 5 years helping a wide variety of patients improve their lives by teaching them effective coping techniques and helping them to change their behavioral patterns. I have always enjoyed interacting with each patient and learning how I can help them face daily challenges.

My volunteering and community work led to receiving The Sheila Mckechnie, Local Campaigner award. This included a one year training and mentoring program including  a program with the M.P. for the Department for Communities and Local Government in 2011. My community work also led me to represent an N.G.O I have been working with, at the United Nations CSW conference in New York in 2015 and 2016.

I strive in all my work to understand the incentives, barriers and levers for change rather than relying on assumptions. Being an optimistic and creative team player with very good presentation skills and a wide range of interests, I am also able to work alone

Approximate rate: £ 25 per hour

Experience

I have successfully implemented several projects in the UK and West Africa involving a high level of coordination and networking as well as intensive communication with community leaders, politicians, NGO's, foreign and domestic stakeholders. Coordination of other team members, the ability to focus and prioritise, time constraints and strategic planning were all necessary aspects of my work.  I strive in all my work to understand the incentives, barriers

Education

I have done courses in Education, Mental Health Nursing and Counselling
