I have been in teaching and education for 30 years. Having spent 15 years in technical training in Saudi Arabia I was able to develop my knowledge of STEM when I was appointed the position of Avionics Instructor at KFAA. I was able to mentor and train staff to use exam view for all the testing and I currently mentor all new trainee teachers in our department at Wigan and Leigh college. I have a very wide knowledge of maths, sciences, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, law, English language and avionics. I have held and successfully taught these subjects and more importantly deigned and developed curriculum for these subjects. During my time in education I have managed education programmes, supervised staff and been involved with quality processes to ensure compliance with external awarding bodies. I have excellent teaching skills, believe in leading by example and have been able to make a very positive impact on both learners and staff. I have also worked on various educational consultancy contracts where I was able to fully contribute and make a positive impact on the project.
