This post is for the Head of Locality Finance (HoLF) - Humber & North Yorkshirewithin the North East & Yorkshire region of NHS England. The post is aligned to the Integrated Care System (ICS) in Humber & North Yorkshire system. Integrated Care Systems are a partnership where local partners - the NHS, councils, voluntary sector and others - work together tocreate better services based on local needs. Each ICS has an integrated care board (ICB) which is anNHS organisation responsible for planning health services for their local population
Main duties of the job
This is a great opportunity to work as part of a dynamic newly-formed team with a particular focus on being the key relationship manager with one of the ICSs, delivering effective financial support, challenge and advice across the system as part of working with the ICB and its partner organisations to assure the delivery of financial requirements that support great patient care. The role also delivers NHS England responsibilities including financial reporting, planning , performance and regulation requirements. The role is very varied and responsibilities will include operational and medium term financial planning, annual plan delivery, financial risk management, productivity and efficiency, major capital business case review, assessing trust governance and efficiency arrangements, application of regulatory responsibilities including CQC Well led financial risk assessments and NHS oversight framework, sourcing and sharing best practice and improvement opportunities, and working with national colleagues in capital, financial reporting and strategic finance teams.
The Operational Finance team operates hybrid working which provides the ability to work flexibly from home alongside office-based and other face to face working environments as required to most effectively deliver our business. Due to the focus on aligned working with an ICB these posts will be based at a regional office within the relevant ICS geographic area, butthe postholder should anticipate that delivering our business will require regular presence in a range of venues across the region and it is therefore necessary for the post holder to have the ability to travel efficiently.
