SEN School (New Perspectives School) officially opened September 2023. Care Perspectives continues to expand and grow in the West Midlands area.


New Perspectives School is a small independent SEMH specialist day school for key stage 2-5, catering for students with social emotional and mental health difficulties who may have a range of complex needs.


We are seeking an experienced, well organised, and self-motivated person to take on the role of
School Cleaner who will be responsible for the cleanliness of the school and for maintaining high and consistent standards whilst following COSHH compliance.

The
School Cleaner will perform a variety of regular and one-off cleaning tasks and duties as directed by the Head Teacher


Main Duties:


  • To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, external surfaces of: cupboards, radiators, shelves, and fitments
  • Empty waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste materials to designated collection point.
  • To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) when required
  • To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks, shower
  • Vacuum rugs and carpets and remove stains using brushes and cleaners.
  • Mop clean and maintain any hard floor surfaces.
  • Window cleaning
  • COSHH data sheets: create system and follow the data sheets.
  • Basic Administration: to complete cleaning monitoring daily records

General Responsibilities:


  • Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically mentioned but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the school and for maintaining high and consistent standards.
  • Be responsible for requesting stock of cleaning supplies.
  • School deep clean as required and directed by the Head Teacher
  • Ensure Health & Safety, quality, and general procedure compliance in relation to COSHH data sheets.
  • Work to meet school standards and objectives.
  • To report any breakages, faulty equipment or Health and Safety issues to the line manager
