    Project Engineer

    Location: Nottingham NG2

    Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

    Duration: Permanent / Full Time

    Hi Group Ltd is a specialized environmental consultancy supporting Further Education and SME clients in Developing, Constructing, Financing, and Operating Low Carbon Transition Projects.

    We are dedicated to delivering sustainable project development and renewable energy solutions to our clients, ensuring the highest standards of sector governance.

    Due to our expanding portfolio of projects, we are looking for a Project Engineer to collaborate with the commercial team and external supply chain to design projects for optimal energy efficiency and ensure installed systems meet required standards and achieve modeled energy outputs.

    You will be accountable for supporting the engineering process and external resources in conducting building energy analysis desktop feasibility studies, site surveys, and system design process.

    If you aspire to take on the responsibility of working with our company's modeling protocols, overseeing the preparation of project feasibility documentation, drawings, layouts, and specifications, and creating client-facing design documentation to communicate engineered solutions, then this role might be the perfect fit for you.

    While the position is primarily office-based, it will involve occasional travel to client sites across the UK.

    What we expect from you:

    • Suitably qualified Engineer with a critical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems & energy-saving/renewable technologies (heat pumps, in particular).
    • Demonstrated skills in energy modeling.
    • Capability to balance customer empathy with company objectives by comprehending the factors influencing customer perspectives.
    • Emphasis on delivering high-quality service for customers and suppliers.
    • Proven track record of reaching challenging targets and managing multi-site customer interactions.
    • Outstanding communication skills, with an ability to comprehend various viewpoints.
    • Proficient in management information systems, performance evaluation, and taking appropriate actions.
    • Competent in business correspondence and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD, and internet applications.
