- Lead, mentor, and collaborate with technology teams on engineering projects and resolution of technical issues.
- Work closely with Lucasfilm technology groups and production leadership to develop strategic roadmaps.
- Evaluate and implement emerging solutions to keep Lucasfilm at the forefront of production technology.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, integrators, and service contractors.
- Monitor industry advancements and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Provide training and support to relevant personnel.
- Offer assistance for production system issues when needed.
- Deliver regular status reports to management and executive teams.
- Contribute to relevant budgets and financial planning.
- Propose, cost, design, and implement production engineering systems.
- Lead systems engineering efforts in various areas including high-performance computing and platform development.
- Uphold production engineering standards and practices.
- Oversee technical projects from concept to deployment within set timelines and budgets.
- Define design specifications, address client requirements, and collaborate with technology teams.
- Minimum 8+ years of systems engineering experience in diverse environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Thorough understanding of high-performance computing, systems engineering principles, infrastructure services, and production systems.
- Demonstrated aptitude in resolving complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent.
