    Your Team

    You will join our Safety Team, collaborating with and guiding our Product Engineering functions to ensure that we're developing and delivering safe, robust and certifiable products for use by our customers

    Your Role

    • Develop innovative safety engineering approaches that transcend current AV safety challenges
    • Ensure that Oxa's products are developed in accordance with safety engineering relevant standards including ISO 26262, ISO/DIS 21448 and other related and emerging standards.
    • Provide input and help develop the safety engineering process and related activities covering the concept phase, system and software product development.
    • Define and implement the verification and validation strategy for system safety, liaising with cross functional teams.
    • Plan, track and report safety achievement of assigned projects and generate safety cases. Recommend improvements and escalate concerns as appropriate.
    • Perform safety analyses at the system and software levels using relevant engineering methods like FTA, FMEA, STPA, DFA etc.
    • Derive and define safety requirements and support the creation of test cases and validation criteria.
    • Coordinate and manage the safety requirements from customers or to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    • Support cross-functional teams on safety engineering subjects
    • Support internal or external safety assessments/audits
    • Support and be part of the continued development of the safety leadership culture at Oxa

    Requirements

    What you need to succeed:

    • A solid understanding and passion for safety
    • Proven experience in the implementation of functional safety and/or SOTIF
    • Proven experience working in the following fields: Safety engineering and Autonomous vehicle operations
    • Good knowledge and expertise on the state of the art and relevant safety standards, including ISO 26262, PAS 21448, ISO TS 5083 or similar
    • Good communication skills on technical subjects to a variety of audiences at different technical levels
    • Collaborative and proactive communication approach

    Extra kudos:

    • Experience with the full safety engineering lifecycle
    • Previous experience of working on vehicle autonomy or advanced ADAS programmes (L3)
    • Background in Software Engineering or Robotics
