    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Luxury Womenswear Designer and Product Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, a keen eye for trends, and the ability to translate concepts into beautifully crafted garments. Collaborating closely with the design team, you will contribute to the creation and development of luxury womenswear collections from concept to production. This role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and learning within the luxury fashion industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. **Design Development**:

    · Assist in the conceptualisation and development of seasonal collections in line with brand identity and market trends.

    · Generate sketches, creation of mood boards, and presentation materials to communicate design ideas effectively.

    · Collaborate with senior designers to translate concepts into detailed technical drawings and specifications. proficient at CAD's in illustrator, and photoshop.

    · Ensure all design range plans and tech packs are kept up to date.

    2. **Research and Trend Analysis**:

    · Stay informed about emerging trends, materials, and techniques within the luxury womenswear market.

    · Conduct research on fabric sourcing, embellishments, trims, and other components to enhance product quality and innovation.

    3. **Product Development**:

    · Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and sourcing, to ensure product feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

    · Source and evaluate fabric and trim options, maintaining quality standards while adhering to production timelines and budget constraints.

    · Keeping a log of all design fabric developments in a tracker on Excel.

    · Communicate with Mills in Raising Fabric purchase orders.

    · Assist in fitting sessions and garment adjustments to ensure proper fit and quality standards are met.

    · Sustainability is key to the brand to stay abreast of new developments in the field and aid decisions with suitability at the heart of decisions.

    4. **Communication and Collaboration**:

    · Collaborate effectively with the design team to brainstorm ideas, solve design challenges, and maintain cohesive brand aesthetics.

    · Communicate regularly with suppliers and manufacturers to monitor product development progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely delivery of samples and production units.

    · Assist in preparing technical documents, including tech packs, measurement charts, and production specifications.

    5. **Quality Assurance**:

    · Conduct thorough quality checks on samples and production units to ensure adherence to design specifications, fit, and finishing standards.

    · Identify and address any quality issues promptly, working with the production team to implement corrective actions as needed.

    Qualifications and experience:

    · Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field or equivalent experience.

    · Previous experience (internship or entry-level position) in luxury womenswear design and product development is preferred.

    · Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite.

    · Excellent sketching and illustration skills, with a keen eye for detail and proportion.

    · Knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit fundamentals.

    · Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments.

    · Passion for luxury fashion, with a demonstrated understanding of luxury brand aesthetics and market trends.
