    Description
    At Evero we are reimagining waste. Our low carbon energy recovery facilities turn waste into electricity.

    Our fleet of assets has a total capacity of 145MW. We divert around 1 million tonnes of waste from landfill every year.

    Deploying our expertise in gasification technology, we want to use waste to displace high carbon fossil based products. We see a future where waste can become the fuel that powers ships and airplanes.

    The Operations Technician is responsible for the safe operation of the plant from the control room with focus on ensuring production demands are met whilst adhering to safety and quality standards.

    The position reports directly to a Shift Team Leader.

    Carrying out plant-related routine duties to ensure plant performance, availability and reliability is maintained to a high level
    Performs fault diagnosis and reactive maintenance as well as proactive monitoring of the process performance trends to spot errors or anomalies and address them before they affect production
    Using a Distributed Control System (DCS) system you will be required to start, stop and monitor turbines, boilers, pumps, water treatment plant and more

    We are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Waste-to-Energy field.

    Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legal requirements
    Demonstrable experience working with Permit-to-Work systems
    The willingness to learn and undergo a short training period which will involve learning the plant and the processes and procedures involved in operating a facility
    Ability to work a full shift system with flexibility to provide support as needed to ensure the safe operation of the Plant
