Estate SurveyorSouth LondonTemporary/Contract£400 per dayWe have an exciting role available with a respected local authority in South London.As a Senior Estate Surveyor within the local authority, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the client's property portfolio across London.
You will conduct property inspections, manage leases, negotiate acquisitions and disposals, and provide expert advice on property-related matters.Key Responsibilities:
Maximise revenue through strategic property lettings and identify new income opportunities.
Monitor lease agreements to protect the Council's interests and ensure compliance.
Assist in minimising dilapidation claims against the Council through proactive measures.
Identify and pursue commercial opportunities to enhance income streams and add value.
Provide valuable support for major regeneration projects and participate in complex negotiations.
Offer strategic housing advice to the Council to facilitate informed decision-making.
Provide expert advice on estate management for third-party occupancies.
Collaborate on initiatives to reduce carbon footprint within the estate.
Qualifications and ExperienceDegree in Real Estate or related field, with RICS membership preferred.
Proven experience as an Estate Surveyor or similar role within the public sector or local government.
Extensive experience in strategic property roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of property valuation, leasing, and commercial transactions.
In-depth knowledge of property legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive stakeholder relationships.
