We are delighted to be able to recruit to a Haematology Specialist Nurse post to support our patients with the Haematology service at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Applications are encouraged from registered nurses with experience in caring for patients in a Haematology / Oncology setting.
Initially for training and support, the successful candidate will be required to spend time with the established CNS team to develop skills and confidence in the role. After the induction period, the role will involve working autonomously and managing a patient case load effectively.
Main duties of the job
You will have a clear understanding of the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist as a clinical expert, leader, researcher and educator. Your role will involve helping to coordinate care for outlying Haematology patients within Manchester Royal Infirmary and supporting patients on Ward 44. Your role will be an integral part of the Hematology department and you will be expected to contribute to educational sessions and MDT meetings regularly. You will also be involved in quality improvement work on Ward 44, be committed to the development of specialist nursing practice and demonstrate evidence of on-going professional and academic development. You'll be encouraged to expand your knowledge, skills and competencies within a supported and friendly environment with training opportunities available to support you along the way.
